Biography

It is both an honor and a joy to serve as the principal of Loachapoka Elementary School. This marks my sixth year at LES, where I spent three years as assistant principal before stepping into the principal role three years ago. Every year has been filled with growth, learning, and the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team committed to student success.

My passion for education runs deep, as I come from a long line of educators who instilled in me the importance of learning, leadership, and service. I believe in the transformative power of teaching and the ability of educators to shape futures, build confidence, and unlock potential in every child.

At LES, our mission goes beyond academics. We are focused on nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—so that every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to achieve their best. I strongly believe that education is a partnership. When schools, families, and communities work together, we create the strongest foundation for lifelong learning and success.

Parent and community engagement are key priorities for me as a school leader. I believe that open communication, mutual respect, and active involvement create the kind of learning environment where students thrive. Whether it's through family events, volunteer opportunities, or community outreach, I am committed to building strong, meaningful connections that support our school and enrich our students’ experiences.

I am elated to lead a school that values collaboration, high expectations, and a deep commitment to the children we serve. Together, we can continue to build a learning community where every child is known, valued, and prepared for a bright future.

With sincere poka pride,

Carmen Anderson
